News Update

Hey everyone...In case you haven't heard, I am going to be in California for most of the summer, at least until sometime in August. I am taking the trip to have Griffin certified in California ( the toughest State to get a Service Dog credential) as a certified Service Dog and then will be spending some much needed time with my Sis and Mom. I will also be doing some dog training on the Monterey Peninsula, so I will be busy!

I have my cell phone and my laptop and will be checking email, so there are ways to stay in touch. Hope everyone has a wonderful summer.

Passionate Paws / Hospice Event

Hello Friends,

Pinellas Marine Institute Training

I am now training students at the Pinellas Marine Institute to become dog trainers. I am doing this one day a week and it has been a blast working with the students there.

New group Class!

We have a new basic obedience class starting May 4th, from 6:30 to 7:30, held in the industrial art center court yard.

Class cost is $100, $25.00 being donated to the Industrial art center.

First class is a lecture, do not bring your dog, followed by 5 physical classes with your dog.

You must pre register and pre pay and contact Lisa at k9connection3@aol.com for enrollment.

Only 10 dogs will be allowed. No aggressive/reactive dogs. Talk to me about private lessons.

Free to seniors/military that qualify.

Hey, my name is Max and I am a big lovable yellow lab that loves going for long walks, rides in the car, and fun at the park.
I am 8 years old going on 2 years. I still like to play and chase things and get along with all those yappy little ones in the house. I do like the small ones though and I like cats too!
I am well trained and as I said love to walk. I am current on my heart guard and will get all my vaccines in May or sooner. I am do in May.
I really need a great home. I was surrendered to my foster mom and she found me a home. They said that they would be my forever home but they did not tell the truth. They gave me back to my foster mom after five years. They said they were sorry but not to me.
I would be your best friend and companion if you give me a forever home for real!!!
This dog is fostered by a volunteer for Chihuahua Rescue and Transport. Max is free to a good home with a donation to the rescue. A home check and vet reference will be completed. If interested – please contact Megan at bonoball@tampabay.rr.com or call 727-423-0226.

Canine Connection is proud to announce new services for their customers. All dogs must have been trained or are being trained by Canine Connection.

• Pet Sitting in your home - $60.00 per night - 1 pet - $75.00 per night - 2 pets - Discuss additional pets or services.
• Pet Walking - $15.00 for 20 minute trained walk. $25.00 for twice daily.
• Pet Transportation - Canine Connection offers transportation to the Vet, Groomer or Boarding Kennel, rates based on time and distance, call Lisa to discuss.

Due to challenging economic times, Bark & Browse had to close, but we are coming back to the 66th Street Flea Market in St Petersburg. You'll find us there, partnered with T-shirt company FAMILY OUT-FITTERS -- everything for you and your pets. We'll have lots of the same great stuff we had at Bark & Browse -- the same great quality at much cheaper prices. Plus, Lisa will be selling all kinds of bargains from foreclosed homes. Who knows what you will find! The market is located on 66th Street, a half-block north of 54th Avenue North. This Saturday, March 27th -- Lisa will be giving a free 15-minute kid/dog safety talk at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at her Gulfport Springfest booth in front of La Fogata. Of course, you will also be able to meet therapy dogs, Griffin & Gus.





Lisa says: "I'm super excited about "Passionate Paws, a nonprofit organization I created to help the healing process in local hospitals by having trained therapy dogs visit patients. This started out as a program through the Bay Pines Veterans Hospital to help with the rehabilitation of returning veterans suffering from Post Tramatic Stress Syndrome. It has quickly has grown to include several other area hospitals, including All Children's Hospital as well as the local Hospice."

Therapy Dog International Testing!

April 12 & 13th - Canine Connection will be testing dogs with TDI (Therapy Dog International) for use as therapy dogs, we will also be testing dogs for "Good Citizen".

GET RESCUED - Gulfport Saturday Feb 27th 2010

A good time was had by all in downtown Gulfport today, the weather started out a little rainy, but it dried out nicely in the afternoon. Saw a bunch of our friends and customers, it was a good day!
